Courses on the Thought of John Paul II

 Five years on from his death and in the year when the first social encyclical of his successor was published, the social sciences faculty at the Angelicum would like to offer you the possibility to take another look at the social teaching of John Paul II.This special course is given by invited experts from around the world, including Fr Gustavo Gutierrez OP.The course is part of the John Paul II semester that is being run across the whole of the university from Oct 2009.

Other courses being run in English this semester include “Pope John Paul II on the wrongs of the first two Christian millennia”, given by Bruce Williams OP and “Pope John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI: bridging insights in their magisterium”, given by Teodora and Margherita Rossi.

The semester also includes other events, including a photographic exhibition, various conferences and, starting in January 2010, programmes of visits, talks and excursions of 3 or 6 days based in Rome on John Paul, his life, and his connection with Rome and the Angelicum.
